Melt pressure
Melt pressure sensors are used to monitor the pressure in the extrusion process and are typically placed in several locations on the extruder. By knowing the pressure at multiple points on the extruder, a uniform flow can be ensured, thereby achieving a higher quality of the extruded material.
Our melt pressure sensors are characterized by their high quality and excellent performance. Even in the most abrasive materials, the coated membranes ensure a long lifespan.
• Accuracy as standard ± 0.5%, alternatively down to ± 0.25%
• Pressure range from 35-2000 bar
• Proces temperature up to 450° C
• Coated membranes provide excellent corrosion and abrasion resistance
• Filling material: Environmentally friendly and non-flammable liquid, 100% mercury-free
• Available as standard with 3.33 mV, 0-20 mA, or 0-10 Volt DC output. Other outputs available upon request
• Internal 80% calibration
• 100% compatible with Dynisco, Gefran etc.
• Option for integrated temperature sensors. Type J-K or PT100
• 6-pin or optional 8-pin standard connections.
• Standard bolt length 6” (152 mm) can be manufactured in lengths from 3” (76.2 mm) to 18” (457 mm)
• ½”-20UNF thread as standard. Alternatives: M12 x 1.5 mm, M14 x 1.5 mm
M18 x 1.5 mm, M22 x 1.5 mm, other sizes available upon request
Melt temperature sensor
The melt temperature sensor measures directly in the plastic material, thereby ensuring a very accurate measurement of the temperature. The melt temperature sensor can be supplied with many different tips, either conical or in sword shape, and in various lengths, depending on the material being measured
The melt bolt sensor can be supplied with the same thread as the melt pressure sensors and as either Type J or K thermocouple or PT100 resistance sensor
• Tip lengths 0 mm / 5 mm / 10 mm / 15 mm / 20 mm / 25 mm
• Conical or sword-shaped tip in stainless steel or Hastelloy
• Isolated or grounded thermocouple
• Standard bolt lengths 3" (76.2 mm) 6" (152 mm) other lengths upon request
• ½”-20UNF thread as standard. Alternatives: M12 x 1.5 mm, M14 x 1.5 mm, M18 x 1.5 mm, M22 x 1.5 mm other sizes upon request
